I’ve got the final video of the “Mix With Me” series for you today, and it’s on automation and sweetening.

The great thing is that today, automation is much easier than it was in the past. Most DAWs make automation intuitive and easy to implement. From automating panning to the audio level of a track, automation can take your mix and put the finishing touches on it.

But most people aren’t aware of how important sweetening a mix is. Sweetening your mix is extremely crucial for a good song. What’s sweetening?

Sweetening is making sure your mix is interesting from start to finish – from tweaking certain parts of the track to create tension, or using automation to keep your listener hooked onto your song.
