I always tell people, “If you could only make one change to the way you mix your songs I would tell you to mix in mono.”

And I’m not the only one who swears by it.

As it turns out, Kendrick Lamar’s award winning album To Pimp A Butterfly was mixed primarily in mono by Derek Ali. Go figure.
